In 1988, Shonda and I, along with Dustin almost 3, and Dillon being planned for our future, began under a call of God and started Praise Ministries. We were living in Newalla, OK., renting a small 2 bedroom mobile home when we started preaching as part-time Evangelist. During which time our family moved to a small country home in Norman, OK. and I worked a part time job as a carpenter in remodeling and preached whenever I could. At that time we owned a Chevy PU with a camper shell that we would sleep and change in while on the road in ministry! WHAT WERE WE THINKING?

The ministry became so busy we moved from our house in Norman, purchased a 1 ton Ford Van and a 33 foot travel trailer. We jumped full time into the Evangelistic ministry traveling and preaching from the West coast to the East coast. In 1992, I applied for Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, OK. Shonda home schooled the guys at home while I attended Rhema for the next two years. During school, I had classes through the weekdays and we preached weekend revivals.

In the summer of 1993, Shonda and I became Associate Pastors of Calvary Temple Church and Youth Pastors of PowerHouse Student Ministries in Edmond, OK. In may of 1994, I graduated from Rhema. We had commuted, about 120 miles, back and forth from Edmond to Broken Arrow during that 93-94 school year, 4 times a week. We sold our trailer and bought a house in Edmond. During our 9 1/2 years as Pastors, we took several trips and several groups to the mission field. It was an extremely difficult dicision to make when we left PowerHouse Student Ministries but missions was calling our name! We went to Africa in November of 2002 and in December, our family resigned as pastors and became full time Missionaries and incorperated PMI!

February 1, 2005, Shonda and I became the Pastors of Mending Hearts Church located in Newalla Oklahoma after a tradgic car accident took the life of our dear friend and former pastor Mike Lincoln. While in Guatemala, God spoke to us to come home and take the church. Shonda and I felt the Lord was leading us in further direction to build the kingdom of God by pastoring these people and reaching out to this community. This is by no means a hinderance to PMI, but rather a blessing. MHC is a church with a missions heart and they have voiced their efforts to help us continue reaching the world! They have helped tremendously in funding and prayers for our latest trips.

At the present time, Dillon is 21 years old and Dustin is 23. Both are very active in the ministry. Shonda and I have been so blessed with our two young men. They are gifted of God and very anointed of the Holy Spirit.

Dustin plays lead guitar and he is in high demand with various ministries including ours. He has assisted in leading worship on teams including Victory Church in OKC, Life Church in Edmond and was on staff with Ray and Jan Hollis and their church, "The Gathering" in Okc. He has traveled on occassion with Ray and the On the Edge Ministries doing youth camps and special meetings. He also played on the worship team for PowerHouse Student Ministries at Calvary Temple Church in Edmond for 4 years. When he is available, Dustin travels with us and plays in some of our meetings and at our church.  Dustin married Andrea Oxford in January of 2010 and moved across the street from mom and dad!

Dillon is blessed with the exceptional ability to play drums. He is an extremely good drummer and we are so proud. He currently plays the drums for our church "Mending Hearts" where we probably work him to a frazzle. He also played for the Jr. High and High School P&W teams at Victory Church in OKC for 2-3 years. He played for PowerHouse Student Ministries for over two years. His hobbies are building computers, playing music and movies. What can I say, the guy is talented!
