"...when the times of refreshing shall come from the Lord's presence". Acts 3:19

David and Edna preaching at Amatitlan Guatemala

(Above) David, with the help of Edna Otzoy, preached a powerful message entitled "God's Champion" in a church called El Calvario located in a village named Amatitlan. We had a powerful move of God. There was probably over seven hundred people there, nearly fifty came to accept Christ as their Savior for the first time! Then many more came for personal prayer. The Holy Spirit began to minister and lives were changed and impacted by the power of God.

(Below) Bill and Twila Guthrie with World Harvest Ministries, in their words, "tagged along" with us for this trip. Here they are in the back of a small truck on their way to a new church, less than a year old, high up in the mountains of Chichoy, Guatemala. Bill preached Salvation in Christ in this mountain church and the people were moved. Many came afterwards for special prayer including the new Pastors!

School Supplies for orphans at the "Train Up A Child" School.

We packed school supplies for all students and teachers

Shonda and I, along with Bill and Twila Guthrie and Edna Otzoy, packed enough school supplies for all 245 enrolled students and 25 teachers. The supplies included notebooks for each class per student, pencils, erasers, rulers, red, blue and black ink pens, candy and some other accessories. It felt as if we were buried in notebooks, pens and pencils! It was such a blessing to be able to bless them in this way. It was all because of the generousity of our supporters and faith pledge partners.

We bought snacks for all the orphans

We also made it a priority to purchase special gifts for all students and teachers. For the children, we bought good snacks that we knew they would never get otherwise. We also purchased soccer balls and basketballs for each class and age group. For the teachers, we bought each a daytimer calender with a nice ink pen. They were so thankful and excited!

There are 245 students in the school this year, ages 6-15, most all of which were orphans and then taken in off the streets by the Otzoy family. They are educated and spiritually trained at the expense of their ministry and fostered out into family homes so they can experience a family lifestyle. PRAISE GOD!

Chimazat, Tecpan Guatemala

Young girl in Tecpan Guatemala (Left) This young girl was in a small village called Chimazat, near Tecpan Guatemala. It was here we done one of our biggest medical clinics with Dr. Flora Otzoy. There were over 150 men, women and children checked, treated and prayed for in this clinic. Dr. Flora worked 14 hours though-out the entire day without eating to take care of these people. They are so thankful for all the medicines and the generousity that our supporters have shown towards them in this country.

Chimazat Medical Clinic(Right) Here is a picture of just a few of the people waiting to see the doctor in this little village area. Some of these people were very sick and in special need of prayer and treatment. In 2003, Shonda and I came here to teach the Word to the people about Christ and healing in Christ. We seen such a need for the people and watched Dr. Flora and her compassion for these people of Chimazat. We knew we needed to do more so we came back this year with medicines for this clinic.

Bill and Twila Guthrie joined us for our 2004 Mission trip to Guatemala. They were thrilled to do the medical missions, visit the new churches and meet the entire Otzoy family. This photo(Above) is Twila Guthrie and Shonda with Pastor Gregorio's Mama. She is 91 years old but still does all the cooking and cleaning in her home. What a precious woman of faith!
